In the fall of 2023 I was leading a team of men as part of a hike ministry. There are a million things to do, situations to prepare for, backups to have and plans to make when going into the woods with a team of men who are almost all first time hikers. It can be overwhelming at times, but the Lord is always watching and knows exactly when to speak to us. That can be through other people or through reading His word. Maybe it comes through a vision. Sometimes it comes through a dream.

On the morning of October 19, 2023 I woke up with a verse on my mind: Joshua 1:6.

I pulled out by YouVersion Bible app and looked it up:

Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.

The interpretation that immediately sprang to mind was: keep doing what I’m doing, the Lord is working on the men and has blessings on the mountain for them.

Yet another perfectly timed word from the Lord who loves us and wants to encourage us as we do His work along side Him!
