The Lord can speak to us in a vision:
And [the Lord] said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.” Numbers 12:6
“‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams …” Acts 2:17

False Visions:
- In Jeremiah and Ezekiel, people who are not following God see false visions or declare false visions, which are used by God as a way to confirm judgement against them: Lamentations 2:14, Ezekiel 12:24, Ezekiel 13:6, Ezekiel 13:7, Ezekiel 13:8, Ezekiel 13:9, Jeremiah 14:14
